February road closure near Crematorium

Road closure – Westerleigh Road, between Westerleigh and Pucklechurch for 5 days

SGC Streetcare are building a new island refuge outside Westerleigh Crematorium as part of a pedestrian improvement scheme. To do so safely they need to close this road from Monday 17 February to Friday 21 February 2020

The closure will be in place on the stretch of road outside the crematorium only. Access to properties and amenities will be available from the relevant end of the B4465 but there will be no through access during this time. Access to the crematorium will be via the Westerleigh Hill/ Westerleigh Road direction.

A signed diversion via Westerleigh Hill, Westerleigh Road, the A4174 and Shortwood Road will be in place. The work is being carried out during school half-term to try and minimise disruption and SGC apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Before the closure there will be temporary signals in place for two weeks (3-14 February) while additional facilities are put in place to help bus passengers and pedestrians. Thank you for your patience.
