Would you like to get more involved in what goes on in your Parish? 

Following the Local Elections in May 2019 there are vacancies for Parish Councillors in the Coalpit Heath ward of the Parish Council.

You need to live in the Parish or within three miles of the parish, or the applicant’s only place of work during the whole of the twelve months, must be in the Parish.  The applicant must also not be debarred from standing as a Parish Councillor. 

Parish Councillors are elected to serve to the end of a four year term of office for the Council (to May 2023). They must adhere to a code of conduct, follow prescribed procedures and declare any interests that might be considered as rendering them partial in any Council matter.

The position is unpaid.

Westerleigh Parish Council comprises  2 wards, Coalpit Heath Ward with 7 serving Councillors and Westerleigh Ward with 2 serving Councillors.

May 13th 2019 – New Councillors – Carol Goddard & Alice Di-Duca co-opted for Westerleigh Ward and Coalpit Heath ward leaving two vacancies in Coalpit Heath.

April 4th 2019: Here are the Notices which show that both wards of Westerleigh Parish Council are uncontested.  The names contained are therefore elected as Parish Councillors from May 2nd 2019.
